About

Jessica grew up in New York City where art is everywhere, and she was exposed to it all by her mother who had a background in the arts herself. Visiting museums, galleries, the theater and the ballet was how Jessica spent much of her time. And so, she knew from an early age that she wanted an education and career in the arts.

After receiving her BA in Art History from Emory University, and her MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s in London, Jessica worked at Sotheby’s in New York before moving to the financial world to help hedge funds raise money for many years. Though an exciting industry, Jessica was ultimately led back to the arts because of her passion for it.

Jessica worked for years for an experienced dealer in Manhattan who sells works by renowned artists such as Pollock and Twombly. During that time, many people approached her looking to develop their collections but in a more accessible way.

Jessica founded Chestman Art in 2008 to reach individual and corporate clients alike, to assist in building collections based on varied clients needs.
